How about tasting fine single malt whiskies from Scotland accompanied by Swedish and international hors d’œuvres? The Old Brewer is delighted to present an evening celebrating the drink known as uisge beatha in Gaelic, or water of life.
A reknowned Swedish whisky expert will guide you on a tasting tour of the highlands and islands of Scotland. These are single malts from our expert’s own collection, whiskies that he has chosen which demonstrate the breadth and difference of malt whisky.
Each whisky you enjoy, and with 2cl of each one it is more than just a taste, will be paired with a delicious small plate prepared by our chefs and chosen to complement the contours of each single malt. Our expert will help you appreciate the flavours of each one, as well as gently educating you as to why each distinctive taste is what it is. The five whiskies tasted are likely to include Glasgow’s
Auchentoshan, Glenfarclas from the highlands, Glenmorangie’s famous La Santa, Bunnahabhain from Islay and Scotland’s oldest family owned distillers, Springbank.
This event will take place in the Front Room of the Old Brewer – the Chambre Séparée of the Old Brewer gastropub in Vasastan, Stockholm. Tickets cost 550kr per person including whiskies and hors d’œuvres. Booking is essential, contact us at
